For perishable items (such as fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, frozen items, sweets, and snacks), complaints must be raised within 24 hours of delivery with clear photo evidence.
2. Conditions for Returns
To qualify for a return:

The item must be unused, unworn, and in the same condition you received it.

It must include original packaging, tags, and proof of purchase (receipt/order confirmation).

Returns must be requested by emailing us at info@malabarmart.co.uk. Items sent without prior approval will not be accepted.
3. Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items

Please check your order immediately upon delivery.

If the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 24 hours (for perishables) or within 7 days (for non-perishables).

Attach clear photos so we can investigate and resolve the issue quickly.
4. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items
The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

Perishable goods (fruits, vegetables, frozen foods, fish, meat, fresh sweets, snacks, etc.) after dispatch.

Sale items and gift cards.

Personal care products, hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases.

Custom-made or personalized products.
❗ If delivery of perishables is refused, not accepted, or fails due to customer reasons, no refund will be issued.
5. Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you by email regarding approval.

Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method.

Please allow 7–10 business days for your bank or card provider to process the refund.

Refunds for dry products and kitchenware will be issued only after we receive and inspect the returned item.
Deductions from Refunds:

£2.99 cancellation fee applies to all cancelled orders (to cover handling costs).

Packaging and handling charges may also be deducted.

No refunds will be provided for perishables once dispatched.
6. Exchanges
The fastest way to exchange an item is to return the product (if eligible) and place a new order separately once your return is approved.
7. Delayed or Denied Refunds
Refunds may be delayed, denied, or require further evidence in the following situations:

If no photo evidence is provided for damaged or perishable items.

If temperature-controlled delivery was not chosen for perishable products.
